Melbourne Cup Eve

Melbourne Cup Eve – TAB Meeting

Monday October 31st, 2022 – gates open at 11.30am.

Current Racing NSW Covid-19 restrictions allow only New South Wales Residents or those residing in the “Border Bubble" to attend the meeting providing these residents have not entered the rest of Victoria or a COVID-19 hotspot throughout the 21 days prior to the race meeting.

As part of the new freedoms, racecourses will be permitted to welcome back owners and patrons that are fully vaccinated from 11 October 2021.

Race clubs shall be responsible for ensuring that all patrons are fully vaccinated prior to attending or entering the racecourse and crowds are restricted to 1 person per 4 square metres and a maximum to 5000 patrons, who must adhere to mandatory mask wearing.

The use of N95 or KN95 masks are mandatory indoor spaces all present on the race course.  Cloth masks are ineffective against the Delta strain and therefore their use is not permitted.

Owners are permitted to attend racecourses as patrons. Owners and patrons are not permitted to interact with trainers in the Restricted Zone on race day and must remain within the designated patron zones to ensure separation from Essential Personnel.

It is suggested that all patron bring a N95 or KN95 mask for their own use.

Melbourne Cup Eve in Corowa provides a spectacular event on the sporting calendar for Australian Racing.

Join in the family friendly festivities at the Corowa Race Club, where you can place a bet, enjoy fabulous food, watch the local races from right beside the track, enjoy full bar facilities and great entertainment.

The Canteen will be operating and supplying great food from their new menu, although
patrons can bring their own picnic if they wish, but alcohol cannot be brought into the course.

We are anticipating a 7-race card, with the first race expected to be 1:25pm (gates will
open at 11:30am) and the TAB and on-course bookmakers will also be operating on the day.

Like the rest of NSW there are restrictions on the consumption of alcohol, which must be
done within expansive designated seating areas and patrons must remain seated while doing
so. Social distancing must also be maintained around all parts of the course.

We have three bars open with seating for over 200 in the designated drinking areas, and seating in other
areas so everyone can enjoy the day.

There is nothing quite like being a part of the Corowa Races, so don’t miss your chance to enjoy this Melbourne Cup Eve sporting event.
